A few years ago Connie took Antoine to the ocean for the first time. I wonder if he had a feeling that is where he was headed again this trip. He must have watched Connie pack the car, bundle everyone in and drive past all his familiar landmarks of places for errands and appointments. Can’t you just imagine Antoine’s excitement as they headed west and he realized this day was different? Did a distant memory of crashing waves and sandy paws come to him?
This was Axel’s first visit and she too found immense pleasure in the mix of thrill and peace only an ocean can give.
